Whether an adjuster on their way to give a job estimate, or our crew members in transit to extract water from a flooded home, our bright green trucks and vans donned with the orange SERVPRO logo are hard to miss amidst daily traffic. These easily-identifiable vehicles help us get to you as quickly and safely as possible, whenever and wherever you need our assistance. 

Our sizable box trucks are essential in transporting drying and dehumidification equipment to-and-from jobsites by our helpful crew members. These spacious vehicles not only allow us to remove and dispose of damaged materials or waste, but also aide in transferring furniture or other belongings from the site and back to our warehouse, where they will be cleaned and stored. The interior of our vehicles are cleaned and organized regularly to ensure that your possessions are safely transported and well-taken care of.

Tools Of The Trade

Our large supply of air movers allows use to take on multiple jobs at once.

Here at SERVPRO, we use a variety of tools and equipment to help us do our jobs in the best way possible. From demolition to disinfecting to drying out structures, we always have what we need. When it comes to equipment, the two most important pieces are dehumidifiers and air movers. These are used on every single water job we do. It is imperative that the structure is properly dried out by the dehumidifiers and air movers before any reconstruction can take place. On category 3 jobs, we may use an air scrubber in addition to the dehumidifiers and air movers. The air scrubber will help filter the air and eliminate airborne microorganisms. Some other pieces of equipment we might use are hydroxyls, ozone machines, ULV foggers, floor drying mats, or HEPA Vacuums. The equipment that is used on a given job varies by the details and scope of the work to be performed.

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) creates the standards for the restoration industry and provides training and certification to restoration companies. IICRC Certified Firms have the right to display the IICRC Certified Logo.

IICRC Certified Firms must

• Present accurate information to consumers and conduct business with honesty and integrity.
• Require a technician on all jobs who has been formally trained and passed all required tests.
• Require a continuing education program to keep technicians up-to-date on the latest changes in the industry.
• Maintain liability insurance to protect all parties in the event of an accident.
• Maintain a written complaint policy and agree to Better Business Bureau or similar arbitration to resolve disputes, and accept the conclusions and recommendations of arbitration.

The IICRC Develops The Standards For The Restoration Industry

The IICRC has been the driving force in establishing the main industry standards and reference guides for professional carpet cleaning, water damage restoration and mold remediation. These IICRC standards take years to develop and require the coordination of experts in the field: manufacturers, industry organizations, insurance professionals, training schools, contractors, and public health professionals.

Every five years, the standards are reviewed and updated. The water damage restoration field changes rapidly with advancements in technology and science, and therefore the standards must evolve to keep pace.

SERVPRO of Evanston Customer Satisfaction Survey completed on June 27th.

Whether it is Fire, Water, Mold, Biohazard, or Odor, any delay in starting the restoration process can lead to additional/secondary damage, as well as extra expense for the property owner.  As such, SERVPRO prides itself on being “Faster to Any Size Disaster.”
